January was long and busy! Our biggest year yet is shaping up to be just that. Thanks for coming back to the monthly newsletter. If you are reading this in real time, happy Friday. We have indeed, made it to the weekend (and to February). Let do this.

I recorded more podcasts in January than ever before in a single month and it has been the best. Bringing a lot of new faces onto the podcast from all walks of life has been great. Also just getting nerdy and creating episodes around Marvel, Wonder Man, and locking in our Screen & Social calendar has be sweet.

Life is moving fast and everyone is just so busy. I know winter time is always a little quiet, but you can feel us all in our own worlds. I am craving that connecting to the community, and you will see that reflected a lot on this podcast this year.

What I am watching:

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms

Beauty

Wonder Man

Better Call Saul (after we finished Breaking Bad)

Carrie is doing good and says “Sup”.

Overall, I am grateful for another January in the books and February brings our first of many Screen & Socials! Keep tuning in for weekly episodes and for gosh sakes write a podcast review, please. Thanks for the support and being a part of our little club here. Take it easy!

Hey friends. Another month bites the dust.

Writing this on a plane, because I must.

A year older, yet still staying humble.

I celebrated my birthday watching the Royal Rumble.

One trip to Alamo Drafthouse to see Housemaid.

A couple work trips to make sure I keep getting paid.

Beast Games and Below Deck weekly to pass the time.

Industry on HBO Max is back if I can stay up past nine.

Knight of the Seven Kingdoms too for my Game of Thrones fix. Binged Wonder Man and it’s one of 2026’s top picks.

February has some good times ahead.

Don’t let it go unsaid.

Get your tickets to our Screen and Social. Dark Knight.

Sit down at Alamo Drafthouse and have a beer and a bite. Mark your calendars for February twenty three. If you’re in the back row you’ll be sitting next to me.

Hear more about it on the next Friday Live this week.

And keep reading if you wanna hear from another geek.

Peace!!

Happy February friends! Scoop here with the personal January recap! The new year slid in and started off hot, with film after film after film! Anaconda (fun watch) Primate (surprisingly good) Marty Supreme (Timmy Chalms has got IT) 28 Years Later:The Bone Temple (perfection) The Housemaid (way better than it had any business being) Mercy (another surprise) Shelter (Statham does a job, breaks necks). With another two screenings this week, Feb does not look to slow down. Thats not even counting the movies I missed in January I still need to see! The best show of 2025 is back on HBO, The Pitt. Speaking of HBO, we've been dropped back into Westeros with A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, a show that centers on Ser Duncan the Tall, and his squire Egg. A notable lighter tale than we're used to in the GOT universe, and so far, a lot of fun. Disney+ dropped a new show in the MCU with Wonderman (newsflash, its Wonder-ful). Fallout is back on Prime with the much anticipated season 2.

So whats happening in February? Movies like Scarlet, The Strangers 3, Crime 101, GOAT, Wuthering Heights, Pillion, Scream 7. Most of the January shows will likely wrap, and we'll talk about them all. Along with anything else that happens. Comics, games, local events, music. Stay tuned to the socials and you'll see it all!

Scoop out!

Just like that, we knock out January 2026 in a flash. This month was a blur, primarily due to my day job, which precluded me from hanging out with the Mostly team as much as I would have liked.

It was a most uneventful month for me which is fine. Nothing major or minor to really report, and about the only movies/television I was able to watch was Fallout on Amazon Prime. I really enjoy this series, as I'm a fanboy of the Fallout video game series as well as the apocalyptic theme and setting. It's just right up my alley. If you didn't play any of the games, some of the lore and character introductions as well as easter eggs will be lost on you, but I still think it makes for a good show. I'd give this series a 3.5/4 and a snore score of 1/4. Some of the episodes can be a bit "set up like" but every show has that.

See you in February when I may have more to talk about!
