See ya next month! You all are the BOMB!

February is over! Not a bad month overall, some great films and tv, and some great reads as well!

In theaters I saw Scarlet, Crime 101 and How to make a Killing. While good none of them compared to Pillion, which currently sits atop my best of 2026 list with a perfect 4/4. A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms was great and The Pitt is running at full steam. I read King Sorrow by Joe Hill and Borne by Jeff Vandermeer and both were excellent. And speaking of excellent I'm writing this month's recap from the sunny beaches of Cancun at the Excellence all inclusive resort! What a way to end the month!

See you all in March! Scoop!

What's up gang, Sammy the Sleeper here. February is over, and that means we're that much closer to pool season and good vibes. It was a solid month -- Logan and I sat down with PizzaBabble and Imo's Marketing Director, Adam Vacek, to talk about their new delicious special, the Honey Trap. I was a big fan! I was actually able to catch a couple flicks in February.

I folded and the wife got me to watch the Housemaid with Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried. It was actually pretty decent. Seyfried's acting chops are really put on display when you put her up against Sweeney and leaves a lot to be desired. But still a solid movie - 3/4 for me. Snore score 2/4.

Then it was my turn, and we sat down and watched Predator: Badlands. This was another great addition to the Predator's franchise, alongside the movie "Prey". They've done a good job in the last few years bringing this franchise back to its glory days. 3.5/4, snore 0/4. I loved the little touches of Weyland-Yutani Corp from the Alien franchise coming into play.

Finally, February ended with the USA women's and men's hockey teams bringing home the gold against Canada in the winter Olympics. Both, were fantastic games and massive wins for USA hockey.

March is going to be exciting as we have some fun stuff planned -- Project Hail Mary comes out in theaters this month, based on Andy Weir's excellent sci-fi novel (if you haven't read it, do it). I cannot WAIT to see this movie.

You'll also catch the Team Jakey Foundation out at the 3Run4 Day Health Expo on March 15th, at 4 Hands Brewery in the city. Come out and enjoy the day, have a beer, and try your hand at some raffles! More information can be found at teamjakey.org or 3Run4 on Facebook.
