October was so fun and so fast. Happy Halloween! Carrie and I did dress up, you can see pics on the @mostlysuperheroes Instagram.

This month we also started our weekly show Friday LIVE! Check that out on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and podcast apps.

We are planning for 2026! The calendar will be full and we are looking to add some sponsors to our team to help us achieve our goals. Please reach out to me directly with any questions or requests here on the website.

I am working hard to make fitness part of my daily routine, at least 30 minutes of exercise daily. We are also cooking more at home and eating out less, which is good for the belly and the budget. Lots of crockpot meals happening in the Carrogan household right now and I am loving it. We have chili going as we speak.

Thanks for reading and supporting what we do. Have a great weekend and November!

Happy Halloween to each fine member of our Spooky Squad! October is almost over. By the time you finish reading this, I’ll have eaten all of the candy in the house and watched ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas.’

You’re really messing up if you haven’t seen ‘Slow Horses’ on Apple TV+. I stand here begging you to give it a shot if you haven’t already. A British spy thriller starring a barely recognizable Gary Oldman – who plays the absolutely vile, but loyal head of an MI5 team of rejects called Slough House. If he’s not on screen farting, eating, or cracking digs at his team – he’s saving his country in the most unconventional ways. Easily one of my favorite characters to grace my television screen in many years. Five quality seasons have been released since 2022 (yes, five full seasons since the last season of Stranger Things was released – more on that later). This show is another gem from Apple, and I’ll rate it almost a perfect 3.9/4. A bonus 3.8 rating from my wife Stadium Stephanie.

For my spooky selection of the day, it’s back to ‘Stranger Things’ on Netflix. New episodes drop in waves on November 26, Christmas day, and New Years Eve. The epic finale is set to take over the big screen in select theaters. I’ve rewatched the first three seasons this month for the first time ever, and it’s almost as good as the first time around. One of Netflix’s best ever.

Quick Peloton MCU Rewatch update for those following along. This month I finished ‘Loki’ season 2 and ‘Echo.’ It’s so much fun watching these newer MCU series again six miles at a time. How serendipitous – my stationary bike is set to take a detour down the witches’ road. Today on Halloween I start episode one of ‘Agatha All Along.’ Here we go.

We have some treats coming at you in the next few months from team Mostly Superheroes. Keep an eye out for the first Mostly Superheroes Pizza Special. We’re having a special guest host – Pizza Babble, a local STL pizza guru. We’ll be sampling some of the world’s finest slices in studio while discussing some of the most famous pizza centric TV/movie scenes. And in December, it’s finally happening. The Tim Robinson Tribute. Thanks to ‘The Chair Company’ for inspiring us to finally pay homage to the funniest human on earth. Don’t miss it.

Happy Halloween! October seemed frighteningly short this year but was jam packed with all sorts of great stuff! Logan and I had our first featured panel at a con, Galaxycon! We talked about what you should be reading in comics today with Geek to Me Radios James Enstall, and Holly Blumenkamp from Apotheosis Comics and Lounge! Such a great experience and I can't wait for them to come back!

Saw some great movies like One Battle After Another, After the Hunt and Bugonia (my pick for film of the year) as well as other movies....like Tron:Ares....which was definitely a movie. DC's Peacemaker season 2 and Gen V season 2 came and went and we had several great pod sessions.

I also launched a substack on comics you can find here https://thescooponcomics.substack.com/ I'll be talking about all things comics there, new old, and sometimes news! So hop on over and subscribe if you can!

The end of the year is almost here, 'Tis the season, so loosen your belts and get ready for the holidays! Tune into Mostly Superheroes for the all the Scoop!

What up ghouls! It's Halloween time, and I couldn't be more jazzed about it. It might be nostalgia speaking but Halloween is my favorite time of year, because growing up my neighborhood was crazy packed with activity and kids. Like the halloween trick or treating you see in movies, but even better somehow. Maybe it was the neighbor with the bloody body parts in the fridge and the free hot dogs? I want that same experience for my kids, so I am excited to see what Kirkwood has to offer this year.

October started with a bachelor party in Branson for my boy Dominic. We played a little golf, had to break into our other buddies car, and got to just chill. Last weekend was filled with the wedding reception and the annual Exely bonfire which were a great time!

Team Jakey had some great media appearances this month with our segment on KSDK channel 5 airing with Mike Busch! Things are really coming together and the future is bright!

As far as TV Shows/Movies go, the wife and I watched Weapons on HBO MAX, with Julia Garner, and I have to say... its one of my favorite movies of 2025. Such a different creepy spin on the genre. It honestly kept me up a little at night. I'd give it a very solid score of 3.7/4 and no snores for me on this one. I was hooked and creeped out. Enjoy the weekend all!
