Superman is a DC Universe film that focuses on Superman's journey to balance his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as Clark Kent in Smallville, Kansas:
Plot
The film will feature an experienced Superman (David Corenswet) and his relationship with Lois Lane (Rachel Brosnahan). It will also introduce a new villain, The Engineer (María Gabriela de Faría).
Setting
The film will take place in the fictional city of Metropolis and will focus on Superman's time as a cub reporter.
Cast
David Corenswet will play Clark Kent/Superman, and Nicholas Hoult will play Lex Luthor, Superman's archnemesis. María Gabriela de Faría will play Angela Spica, also known as The Engineer.
Director
James Gunn is directing the film.
Significance
As the first DCU project, Superman: Legacy will set up the foundation for future DC films.
