April Newsletter
Another monthly poem from Arena Andy to our favorite fans.
For you to read through your phone in the palm of your hands.
Wrestlemania, Battlehawks, and playoff hockey every night.
Watching our St. Louis Cardinal rookies finally take flight.
2 Rivers Comic Con was another massive success,
Seeing my friend Logan moderate panels like a champ was the best.
April was a small preview of an epic summer to come.
Sunshine, concerts, and enough golf to make me numb.
232 more sleeps until Avengers: Doomsday release.
Every day I pray to finally see the trailer, and world peace.
Daredevil, The Boys, and Invincible are back.
So much screen time it broke my TV, that's whack.
It's gonna be May, Justin Timberlake once said.
Back when it looked like he had ramen noodles on his head.
May the 4th be with you all, grab some popcorn and soda.
A Star Wars rewatch in progress, to prep for Mando and baby Yoda.
Thanks for listening to my monthly cheesy rant.
Because I'm going to keep doing them until I just can't.

April in the books. Michael was the only film I was able to see in theaters this slow month for movies, yeah there were other movies, but nothing blockbuster. On TV another 4.0 season of Invincible has wrapped. Seriously I'm not sure that show can get any better. The final season of the Boys is happening, and Daredevil Born Again is only one episode from wrapping its second season. Most of my month has been spent on kids sports, prep for a graduation, and reading. Not many comics, but books. I was able to pack six whole novels in this month, including one that is currently in my top 10 of all time. The Song of Achilles, by Madeline Miller. An exploration of the love between Achilles and Patroclus growing up together all the way through the battle of Troy. I would obviously highly recommend this one, and its got something for everyone. Hollow Kingdom-Kira Jane Buxton, A Little Hatred by Joe Abercrombie, This Thing Between Us by Gus Moreno and This Is How You Lose the Time War by Amal El-Mohtar and Max Gladstone were some other very great reads I was able to squeeze in. Now as for May, you know we have our eyes on The Mandolorian and Grogu. other than that, the month is looking flat as far as the box office goes. What are you looking forward to in May? Let us know and we'll see you on the show!!!

What up gang! It's that time of month already where Logan has to remind the team for a newsletter submission. April brought showers for real. Logan and some other buddies of mine spent hours outside my house dropping topsoil and seed, all for it to pour 4 days later and wash a 1/4th of it down the sewer.

But that's life, and it ain't too bad. Team Jakey had a good hang at over at our friends at Fallon Bar in Grill this month. They graciously donated 10% of proceeds to Team Jakey on April 11th!

As far as movies/TV go, we finished DTF STL. I'd have to say that series was just OK. I felt like every episode was kind of a repeat with no much else coming to light each episode. I will say, the ending while not a massive surprise, is a bit tear jerking. 2.85/4 for me. Not my favorite.

We also started watching Euphoria season 3. I really enjoyed season 1 and 2, but something about this season seems more forced. I will say, I think the season is picking up! Lastly, The Boys is back for season 5 and while it's a one of my favorite shows, the dialogue this season is questionable, but I still find it entertaining, and Homelander is as menacing as ever. That actor does a great job with that character.

We have big things in May - so stay tuned!
