FALL! Yes, October is here, temps are cooler, electric bills are better, and crockpots and stouts are in full swing. BUT at a certain point, you will have to deal with all of those leaves. Don’t forget it is only getting colder, so being outside is a must for these next two weeks! Plus, this is the quiet before all of the holidays start firing off!
We took a break yesterday for Carrie’s birthday (HAPPY BIRTHDAY CARRIE!!) and we went to the Harvest Fest in Tower Grove park. A perfect day for it with music, drinks, and just chilling in the park with the community. Kudos and thanks to the folks who put that together!
Team Jakey raised more than $62, 000 at Team Jakey Fest 2026, setting a new record! Thank you to everyone that made that happen! And yes, that is including me and Carrie. It was the biggest project we have ever worked on and we are both so proud of the whole day and the good work Team Jakey does year round. More events and news coming up, check it out at teamjakey.org and remember to call or text 988 if you or someone you know is in a mental health crisis. Our mental health matters.
Movies: Finally saw Disclosure Day and really enjoyed it! Also watched You Can See Everything by A24 and Nathan Fielder and you should too! Find my review on Letterbox’d and our socials. And coming out this week… CLAYFACE: the next DC project from James Gunn, taking place in Gotham City! Watch for live stream and shows about this one, tell us if you are seeing it! And of course, countdown to Avengers: Doomsday in theaters Dec 18th! Watch for more details! Oh! and Spider-Man: Brand New Day is on digital, still waiting on it to stream on Disney+ but hoping that happens soon!
TV: We binged the new shows Carrie and Crystal Lake (both are GREAT)! We wrapped up Lanterns on DC, listen to our podcasts about it to hear what we think! Also, VISIONQUEST is each week on Disney+, we are talking about this one A LOT! Mixing in rewatching The Sopranos and also counting down to Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 Oct 30th!
